Bury The Hatchet
“Bury The Hatchet” is a phrase meaning “to make peace.” It signifies the figurative or literal practice of putting away the tomahawk at the cessation of hostilities among or by Native Americans. Weapons were to be buried or otherwise put away in time of peace as they simply were not needed. May we all strive to bury our respective hatchets – our grudges, grievances and the weapons we hold in our hands, on our tongues and in our mind. This is the way of the peaceful warrior. A-ho.
